It is with huge sadness that I learnt today of the death of Henrik von Platen. Henrik was a non executive director of Goedhuis & Co from 2004 to 2012.
He was a great addition to the board, wise, intelligent, eccentric and amusing. An epicure, gastronome and oenophile. Whether at meetings, lunches or dinner there was never a dull moment with Henrik and his ideas were always stimulating and often challenging. Calls to the office from Mr Henry or one of his many aliases would often cause panic and but always amusement.
He was a real friend and will be sorely missed by Tom, myself and everyone at Goedhuis & Co.
