Fine Wine | White Bordeaux
When people think of Bordeaux, they often think of red wine. But to forget the great white wines of this region is to miss one of the great classic styles of blended white wine. Often aged in oak, these Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle blends have a particular concentration and length which make the best suitable for extraordinary ageing. The highest quality white come from the classified growths with the Pessac Léognan appellation, but some excellent unclassified examples can also be found further north in the Médoc. The whites of Graves and the Entre Deux Mers can provide excellent value for money and great regional character.
