Since Mark Robertson, aka the Scotch Egg King, joined Goedhuis & Co we have become increasingly obsessed by this traditional English delicacy.

Even our American wine buyer is a convert despite initial scepticism. This is in no little measure down to the outstanding quality of Scotch Egg to be found at The Handmade Scotch Egg Company.

For our Chairman’s 60th birthday we decided to put on an extra special lunch with all the trimmings. What better way to start such a feast than with a few scotch eggs? And so the order was promptly placed.

Penny and Neil Chambers hand-make every single Scotch egg you order and they arrive chilled and on time neatly packed up in an insulated box. We decided to go for a pack of the mini scotch eggs, made with quail’s eggs, to have as canapés.

They were so popular that I had to ration them out. And not a bad match for Bienvenues Batard Carillon 2002 either.
