Sancerre Domaine Bernard Reverdy 2016

£156.00 per 12 bottles inc VAT / £13.00 per bottle inc VAT
(List price £168.00 per 12 bottles inc VAT)

Romain Reverdy has made a brilliant Sancerre in 2016. His vines around the village of Verdigny enjoyed an excellent growing season, which ensured terrific phenolic ripeness whilst retaining Sancerre’s signature nervous acidity. This wine has a beautiful floral elegance, creamy texture, and brisk mineral tension. Highly recommended.

Clos du Tart sold to Francois Pinault for record price

Three years ago Domaine des Lambrays in Morey St Denis was bought by Bernard Arnault of LVMH for 101 million euros. Last week Grand Cru monopole Clos de Tart, also in Morey St Denis, was acquired for 250 million euros by Artémis, the Pinault family’s investment company, which also owns Château Latour.

These celebrated rivals, two of the richest men in France, are now neighbours in the region and we all watch the ever changing landscape of Burgundy with bated breath!

BURGUNDY TASTING TRIP
