‘One of the best Haut-Batailleys in years!’
94-95 points James Suckling

Château Haut-Batailley 2017

Château Haut-Batailley is a magnificent property that has always produced exceptional wines; wines that seduced any Bordeaux lover with their exquisite Pauillac pedigree and tremendous value.

2017 is the first vintage under the new ownership and guidance of, Jean Charles Cazes, who also owns Ch Lynch Bages. As anticipated he has crafted a sensational first release; critics are calling this, ‘one of the best Haut-Batailleys in years!’ and we could not agree more.

Haut-Batailley has outstanding vineyard locations; the vines border those of Lynch Bages, Les Forts de Latour and Pichon Lalande. Its quality has always punched well above its fifth growth classification. It offers one of the most complete examples of Pauillac, while its price is a far cry from its illustrious First and Second growth neighbours.

Cazes' inaugural vintage expresses the power and structure of the very finest Pauillacs, intermingled with dark fruited sweetness, freshness and subtlety. The release price, as expected, has increased, to £248 per 6 bottles IB, repositioning the brand in the market.

For those interested in back vintages we also have stock of the 2014 and 2015 vintages, which offer outstanding value.

  • Ch Haut-Batailley 2014 - £150.00 per 6 bottles IB
  • Ch Haut-Batailley 2015 - £175.00 per 6 bottles IB
