Goedhuis, September 2023
The Martin family have established themselves as one of the finest domaines in the Maconnais village of Davayé. This St Véran is such a pretty wine with plenty of citrus and fleshy stone fruit aromas such as white peach and apricot. We love its soft, fragrant honeysuckle notes and smooth creamy texture, backed by a bright acidity. Elegant Chardonnay and the perfect all-round white that we turn to time and time again.

Domaine de la Croix Senaillet
"Domaine de la Croix Senaillet" takes its name from a cross that had been given by an ancient mayor of the village called Benoit Senaillet. The records show that the mayor donated the cross to Davayé in 1866 to replace the one that was destroyed in 1793 during the French Revolution. Maurice Martin established the domaine in 1969 and his son Richard took it over in 1990 and was joined by his brother Stephane in 1992. Intern...Read more

Internationally renowned for making some of St Veran's finest and most elegant wines, this reputation is down to hard work in the vineyards and minimal intervention in the winemaking process.Read less

Saint Véran
The vineyards of St Veran lie both to the north and south of the Pouilly Fuisse appellation at the southern tip of the Mâconnais. Only white wines made from the Chardonnay grape qualify. Saint-Véran's wines have more body and structure than a Mâcon Villages wine. They rarely have the power and structure to rival Pouilly Fuisse, but can represent excellent value.
