Neal Martin, November 2022, Score: 90-92
The 2021 Aloxe-Corton Les Fournières 1er Cru, which is half the normal production, has a lovely nose with vibrant red fruit, violet and iris scents. This is beautifully defined. The palate is very smooth in texture thanks to its supple tannins and appealing blue fruit. Yes, it might be missing a bit of complexity on the finish, but it has an alluring texture throughout. Jasper Morris MW, December 2022, Score: 89-91
Nothing but stones in this vineyard but alas a modest yield of just 9 barrels for a hectare. A full crimson purple and some density on the nose of a slightly darker raspberry fruit. Dry but fine tannins at the back and pleasingly persistent Drink from 2025-2029.

The wines of Tollot-Beaut are some of the best we taste every vintage. Uncomplicated, pure and fresh, they epitomize everything that we love about wines from the Côte de Beaune. The wines of Tollot-Beaut are some of the best we taste every vintage. Uncomplicated, pure and fresh, they epitomize everything that we love about wines from the Côte de Beaune. In addition, their fleshiness and approachability makes them perfect for cynics who claim that Burgundy is not their cup of tea. The 22-hectare domaine has been family-owned for years. Today, the young, friendly and exceptionally bright Nathalie Tollot manages the domaine with her cousins. The wines are vinified fairly traditionally. About 40% of the crop is de-stemmed, though this varies depending on vintage. The wines are fermented in open-top wooden vats before being aged in oak barrels that are 10-50% new. Very lightly fined and filtered before bottling, the resulting wines are often opulent with noticeable density, always clean and superbly pure. Just wonderful Burgundy.Read less

Region
Aloxe Corton
With its neighbours, Ladoix Serrigny and Pernand Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton has its own village and premier cru appellations but shares the two grand crus: Corton, a red made from Pinot Noir, and Corton Charlemagne, a white made from Chardonnay. The vines for both are planted on the hillsides underneath the plateau of Corton's woodland forest. The majority of Pinot Noir is planted in thesouthern and eastern sector where the soil is naturally rich with red iron clay giving additional body and power. Overall, the wines from Aloxe-Corton tend to be fruit forward and fleshy with a balance of round edges and fine concentration.
