Goedhuis, April 2023
Bright crimson colour, aromas of cherry, cinnamon and clove spice. An easy flowing style with its forward drinking fruit characters, whilst containing a fine 1er Cru density, expressing its terroir position below Les Vergelesses opposite the hill of Corton.

Region
Pernand Vergelesses
With its neighbours, Ladoix Serrigny and Aloxe-Corton, Pernand Vergelesses has its own village and premier cru appellations but shares the two grand crus: Corton, a red made from Pinot Noir, and Corton Charlemagne, a white made from Chardonnay. The limestone marl soil is well-suited to growing Chardonnay and the resulting white wines are crisp and mineral with a good capacity for ageing. Pinot Noir is planted in areas of redder iron-rich soil and the best vineyards produce charmingly soft red wines with classic notes of raspberries and violets.
