Goedhuis, July 2022
A firm favourite with the team at Goedhuis, the sensational 2020 Chianti Classico from Riecine exudes all of the vibrant red cherry and cranberry flavours that our clients have become accustomed to. This rounded, vibrant beauty oozes stacks of personality and appeal and is the perfect red to savour and enjoy across every season. Such is the high level of quality and consistency Riecine’s Chianti Classico is simply in a class of its own.

Antonio Galloni, July 2022, Score: 90
The 2020 Chianti Classico is bright, punchy and full of character. Crushed rose petals, tobacco and sweet red berry fruit are nicely lifted in this delicious, mid-weight Chianti Classico from Riecine. The 2020 is beautifully done. Drink 2022-2032.

Region
Chianti Classico
There are seven zones within the Chianti appellation, though its centre, Chianti Classico is themost famous. The appellation regulations require that Sangiovese must make up at least 75% of theblend (many wines are 100%); however smaller percentages of native and non-native varieties, suchas Canaiolo, Colorino and Cabernet Sauvignon, are also permitted. The denomination of Riservaindicates a wine usually produced with more concentrated grapes than the traditional cuvée andrequires a minimum of one additional year of ageing.
