Having started his career working on corporate digital projects at IBM, Tom decided to try his hand at grape picking. He returned to London with sunburn, battered hands and an appreciation of Burgundian Chardonnay. Tom honed his experience of technology and data for the wine industry, working first at Liv-ex then as a freelance consultant. He now enjoys tasting wines he had previously only seen on a screen and remains loyal to the regions where he has worked harvests, Burgundy and Southwest France. Tom dabbles in fiction and travel writing and spends holidays sailing in frigid Scottish waters or further afield.
