Whilst at The University of York , Ruairi and a few friends set up a Wine Tasting Society, liaising with the enthusiastic local wine merchant sparked his interest in the wine trade. Since joining Goedhuis in 2017 Ruairi has immersed himself in the world’s finest wine regions

If forced to choose just two regions to enjoy forever more, Tuscany and Burgundy would be the likely winners. He is a sucker for pure fruit and silky tannins, so it's no suprise that some of his favourite names are Fourrier, Denis Mortet, Potazzine & Salvioni. Ruairi is enjoying educating himself on the off dry whites of Alsace and Germany... WSET Diploma incoming.

Ruairi thoroughly enjoys catching up with old friends. You can often find him eating out in London and encouraging his friends to try great wines with delicious food.
