Goedhuis, December 2023
Sitting close to the town on its northern side heading to Vosne Romanée, this is a particularly good Premier Cru site. Vibrant red berry and crystalline fruits, this sees 40% new oak, a little more than the domaine’s norm, which gives flavours of mocha and oriental spice. Very good depth, nothing feels forced and the finish is charming and graceful.

Neal Martin, November 2023, Score: 94
The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Bousselots 1er Cru comes from a parcel located slightly lower down the incline than the Aux Thorey, the vines around 50 years old. It has a well-defined and more composed bouquet with vivacious redcurrant, wild strawberry, and blood orange scents, very focused and energetic. The medium-bodied palate has fine tannins, very precise and pure, with good tension and complexity, and a mineral-rich, complex finish. This may be the best Nuit Saint-Georges I have tasted from Legros. Highly recommended. Drink 2025 - 2042. 94 points. Neal Martin, Vinous

Domaine Legros spans 6.5 hectares, covering appellations in Nuits St Georges, Chambolle Musigny and Morey St Denis. It is the epitome of a family holding: winemaker François took on the vineyards from his parents and uncle at the end of the 1980s, and in 1999 he acquired yet more vines from his father-in-law. It is the epitome of a family holding: winemaker François took on the vineyards from his parents and uncle at the end of the 1980s, and in 1999 he acquired yet more vines from his father-in-law. The latest chapter now sees François joined by his two daughters, Charlotte, a graduate of the Lycée Viticole de Beaune, who manages the vineyard, and Laure, who looks after the commercial side of the business. This estate is clearly going places. It sees a proud, happy father guiding the dynamic, talented and ambitious next generation, with impressive results.Read less

Nuits Saint Georges
The second largest town after Beaune, Nuits St. Georges is known for ample wines that have textured tannins and rich fruit. Unlike other famous Côte de Nuits villages, it has no Grand Crus but does have a handful of exceptional premier cru vineyards such as Clos de l'Arlot, Les Pruliers and AuxMurgers. Its wines can be occasionally rustic, and this sets them apart from many of the more northern appellations as well as from the neighbouring Côte de Beaune whose wines (apart from Pommard) tend to be less structured and more fruit forward. This is no doubt due to a slightly increased presence of clay especially on the Primeaux-Prissey area of the appellation. Notable producers include Domaine de l'Arlot, Jean Grivot and Meo-Camuzet.
