Goedhuis, December 2023
The most giving and eye catching of all the Grand Cru’s on the hill of Corton. This is a beautiful cuvée. A miscalleny of berry fruits, loganberry, billberry and damson fool. A gracious richness, with a delicious volume, full deep, with appealing spicy undertones. The tannins are present but in a rounded way giving breadth and superb persistence.

Neal Martin, January 2024, Score: 93-95
The 2022 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has quite a backward, earthy nose with more black fruit and touches of graphite and cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, gentle grip, and fine tension with an impressive backbone on the finish whilst maintaining refinement. With ample length and salinity, this should grow into a fine Corton-Bressandes after being frosted 2021. Drinking Window: 2027-2045.

The wines of Tollot-Beaut are some of the best we taste every vintage. Uncomplicated, pure and fresh, they epitomize everything that we love about wines from the Côte de Beaune. The wines of Tollot-Beaut are some of the best we taste every vintage. Uncomplicated, pure and fresh, they epitomize everything that we love about wines from the Côte de Beaune. In addition, their fleshiness and approachability makes them perfect for cynics who claim that Burgundy is not their cup of tea. The 22-hectare domaine has been family-owned for years. Today, the young, friendly and exceptionally bright Nathalie Tollot manages the domaine with her cousins. The wines are vinified fairly traditionally. About 40% of the crop is de-stemmed, though this varies depending on vintage. The wines are fermented in open-top wooden vats before being aged in oak barrels that are 10-50% new. Very lightly fined and filtered before bottling, the resulting wines are often opulent with noticeable density, always clean and superbly pure. Just wonderful Burgundy.Read less
Region
Corton
The Grands Crus of Corton, a red made from Pinot Noir, and Corton Charlemagne, a white made from Chardonnay are shared between Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix Serrigny and Pernand Vergelesses. The vines for both are planted on the hillsides underneath the plateau of Corton's woodland forest. The majorityof Pinot Noir is planted in the southern and eastern sector where the soil is naturally rich with red iron clay giving additional body and power. Overall, the wines from these areas tend to be fruit forward and fleshy with a balance of round edges and fine concentration.
