The Chartons’ brilliant Mercurey Vieilles Vignes was picked by Jane MacQuitty as her STAR BURGUNDY in The Times 50 Best Red Wines for Summer published on Saturday.
Since discovering the Chartons several years ago we have been huge fans of their brilliant value Bourgogne Rouge Champ de Perdrix and their Mercurey VV. We have also started offering their 1er Cru Mercureys En Primeur in January each year when they get regular press attention for their quality and excellent value.
Vincent won a well-deserved award from the Groupe des Jeunes Professionals de la Vigne for his 2010s and this domaine goes from strength to strength.
