Whilst at The University of York , Ruairí and two friends set up a Wine Tasting Society, and liaising with a local wine merchant sparked his interest in the wine trade. Since joining Goedhuis in 2017 Ruairí has immersed himself in the world’s finest wine regions: Bordeaux, Tuscany, and his pick of the bunch… Burgundy. His favourite producers are currently Hudelot-Noellat, Denis Mortet, Jean Grivot and Salvioni. He is currently completing his WSET Diploma.
Outside of wine, you will find him keeping his fitness up by training for a half-marathon or triathlon. He also thoroughly enjoys meeting old friends for dinner and encouraging them to try great wines with delicious food.
