Domaine Arnaud et Stephanie Dezat have parcels scattered around the village of Verdigny in the heart of the appellation. The wine has crisp citrus and delicate floral aromas that are complimented by subtle riper notes. The palate is finely chiselled with a pleasing chalky texture. Absolutely delicious.

Region

Sancerre

The picturesque town of Sancerre perches atop a hill on the left bank of the Loire with vineyards planted on limestone and clay hillsides. A total of 14 villages and 3 hamlets have the rights to produce Sancerre, and, due to the increasing popularity of the wine, the area under vine trebled in the last quarter of the 20th century. Often considered the classic home of Sauvignon Blanc, good Sancerre is crisp, elegant and aromatic, and among the finest and most complex Sauvignons in the world. Delicate reds and roses are also made from Pinot Noir.
