  • Goedhuis, December 2022

Almost 1 hectare of this wonderful Grand Cru. Wild berry fruits, cinnamon and clove scent. It has brooding power: concentrated, dark and intense. The tannins are tight with an earthy granular character. Superbly layered and the sweet black fruits linger on the palate for an eternity. This is a beauty.

  • Jasper Morris MW, December 2022, Score: 93-96

Just a small touch of whole bunch to try this year, like it and have done more in 2022. Just one barrel here, new wood from the Centre of France. Very long very light toast means that the wood does not show at all. A luminous pink purple colour, really very elegant. Brilliant elegance and nuance. Riper than redcurrant but not at all exaggerated. Seamless finish, with excellent persistence. Drink from 2027-2034.

With the guidance of Stéphane Follin-Arbelet of Château de Meursault, new technical director Sylvain Pabiot has been implementing exciting changes at the property. They are currently in the process of converting to organic vineyard management and Sylvain has instigated a more delicate approach in the winery for the Pinots.Read less

Ruchottes Chambertin

Ruchottes Chambertin is a red wine AOC and Grand Cru vineyard in Burgundy’s Gevrey Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. The Ruchottes Chambertin vineyard is situated on the upper slopes on well-draining, stony soil with a thin layer of limestone-rich soil which encourages the vines to grow deep root systems. The resulting wines are fragrant and light in colour but concentrated in flavour.
