Tasting Notes

  • GDH

    Goedhuis, April 2020

The 2018 vintage of Guado al Tasso's little brother is very inviting with lots of lovely sumptuous ripe dark fruit. Dark floral notes, dark cherry and plums with a lovely spice woven in of espresso and new leather, all wrapped up in a lovely texture. It is drinking well now, but I can only see this improving. For a full bodied sumptuous wine it has lovely freshness and acidity, it is very expressive with a floral lifted long finish.

    Wine Advocate, April 2020,
    Score: 90

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah opens with aromas of cassis, underbrush and tobacco. The savory, balanced palate offers blackberry, clove and white pepper alongside polished tannins. Drink through 2025. 90 points. Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast

Region

Tuscany

Arguably the most celebrated of all Italian regions for its sun, delicious food and rich wines. Chianti lies at the heart of this centrally located, picturesque and expansive area. Tuscany is also home to Chianti's more powerful cousin, Brunello di Montalcino, illustrious Super Tuscanblends and spicy, exuberant whites.
