    Here there is no reductive funk to the notably floral-scented aromas of earth, mocha, the sauvage and ripe spiced purple fruit. The rich, indeed even rich and lavish broad-shouldered flavors that evidence a lovely sense of energy on the moderately concentrated finish.

Domaine J Confuron-Cotétidot

Yves Confuron runs this family domaine located in Vosne-Romanée, as well as making wines for Domaine de Courcel in Pommard. The wines of Confuron-Cotétidot are characterised by their amazing ability to age and develop. As well as some enviable Grand Cru parcels the domaine also has two hectares of the great Vosne Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots.

Clos Saint-Denis

Tucked between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, and sharing the same stratum of limestone, Morey-St-Denis is unfairly less celebrated than its better known neighbours. It boasts five Grand Crus, including Clos-St-Denis. Slightly lighter than Clos-de-la-Roche, Clos Saint-Denis' wines balance delicacy, finesse and wonderful Pinot fruit - the quintessential Grand Cru of Morey-St-Denis.
