Goedhuis, July 2018
The Hasel vineyard’s loess soils protect the vines from drought stress and its gentle south-facing slopes promote the perfect ripening of Austria’s finest white variety. It has an inviting aroma of stone fruit and peppery rocket. The palate has excellent weight and texture, kept refreshed by its vibrant acidity and the light, salty vein running through it.
The Allram estate is situated in the heart of the picturesque Kamptal region of Austria, famous for its Grüner Veltliners. In 1992, Michaela Haas-Allram took over her parents’ business and ever since has operated the winery together with her husband, Erich Haas. They produce tight, mineral wines from a range of single vineyards across the Kamptal region.
Kamptal is a wine region in Austria which is north of the Kremstal region and is centred on the important wine town Langenlois. This region produces some of Austria's finest Riesling and most concentrated Grüner Veltliners. It is home to some of the country's most gifted, innovative and expressive winemakers.
