Producer
Olivier Leflaive Frères

In 1984 Olivier Leflaive, who had been working at Domaine Leflaive, with his uncle, Vincent, decided to start his own domaine. With his uncle Vincent and brother Patrick's help, he quickly built up his own distinct reputation. When Vincent died, Olivier was left part of Domaine Leflaive, but left to fully concentrate on his own négociant business. In 1988 Franck Grux became the winemaker and with his help, over the years, wines of increasing quality emerge from this small négociant. Olivier Leflaive has established some other high quality vineyard holdings, in all about 12ha, in several Bourgogne villages to complement his négoce bottlings.
Region
Chevalier-Montrachet
Chevalier-Montrachet is a tiny Grand Cru appellation for white wine situated on the stony slopes just above Le Montrachet towards the southern end of the Cote d'Or. The wines are exceptional, if slightly lighter in style than their neighbour down the hill.
