Goedhuis, December 2017
The initial lively, zesty, mineral characteristics give way to hints of honey. A beautifully balanced, graceful wine: elegant, subtle and appealingly fresh.

Neal Martin, December 2017, Score: 91-93
The 2016 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières did not quite display the panache of the enticing Les Referts, though it is redeemed by a subtle touch of aniseed, a leitmotif among several other whites within the Côte de Beaune. The palate is very well balanced with a fine thread of acidity, crisp and taut, perhaps less showy and complex than the Les Referts, although there is plenty of freshness on the finish. If you want a strict, no-frills, straight-onto-the-fairway Puligny, this is where to come. Drink 2018-2030

Burghound, June 2018, Score: 92
Moderate reduction presently dominates the nose though the underlying fruit appears ripe and concentrated. There is that lovely sense of underlying tension to the attractively rich, intense and well-delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess an almost pungent stoniness on the wonderfully long mouth coating finish. Textbook Perrières. Outstanding. Drink: 2023+

Decanter, January 2018, Score: 90
Sauzet's vines in Perrières have reached a decent age now, but their holdings are planted with clones which perhaps explains why this cuvée never seems to match the concentration of the Carillon brothers’ renditions. Notes of petrol, preserved lemon, oatmeal and white flowers precede an elegant, medium-full, open-knit but fresh wine, with light textural gloss and moderate concentration. Puligny Montrachet
Puligny Montrachet is known as the most delicate of the white wine appellations south of Beaune. Its wines tend to be linear and mineral offering delicate floral and orchard fruit aromatics. Its village and premier cru vineyard area total slightly over 200 hectares but almost half of them are premier cru making them one of the highest proportions of quality vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. Several grand cru vineyards are present, the most notable being Le Montrachet and Bâtard Montrachetwhich it shares with neighbouring Chassagne, but it does have the extraordinary Chevalier Montrachet and the tiny Bienvenues Bâtard Montrachet all to itself. There are a handful of red wines grown, but they tend to be quite light and need to be drunk in their youth.
