    The Urziger spice garden (wurzgarten) is unique in the middle mosel for its red soils rather than slate. These 120 year old vines produce a stunningly floral wine. Lemon colour, it is so floral on the nose with hints of white peach, guava and verbena. A more gracious style than the strict and steely Wehlener. This is a wine which coats the mouth. Beautifully rewarding there is a touch of lychees and lemon sherbet, beautifully vibrant and alive but so graceful and fine and the hint of honeysuckle on the finish gives a sensation of being less firm in its dryness and a feeling of wonderful harmony.
