Tasting Notes
-
Goedhuis, May 2018
Tasted blind, Burgfest May 2018: This had a gorgeous ripeness in its substantial fruit attack. This voluptuous content is matched by a heady concentration of vanilla oak. Powerful, full, and long.

Neal Martin, December 2016,
Score: 92-94The 2015 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, of which there are two barrels this year, has a subtle bouquet, much more so than the 2015, with grapefruit, peach skin and flinty aromas that are subtle yet well defined. The palate is so so pretty: wonderfully balanced and graceful with notes of white peach and dried honey, the oak neatly enmeshed with a delicate yet tender finish. Probably earlier drinking than recent vintages, but utterly tempting. Drink 2019 - 2030

Producer
Domaine Jacques Carillon

The Carillon family have been making wines in Puligny Montrachet since the early 17th century and there is nothing complicated in their winemaking philosophy. Good vineyard management means high quality fruit and then subtle but careful handling will allow maximum expression of the individual terroirs. Jacques’s wines do not focus on power, they are all about purity and integrity and deliciously refined, honeyed fruit flavours.
