Neal Martin, December 2015,
Score: 93-95The 2014 Richebourg Grand Cru, from 75- and 50-year-old vines, has a crisp and poised bouquet with blackberry and blueberry, wonderful mineralité here and great precision, with the oak neatly dovetailed into the fruit. The palate is precise and structured. There is a superb backbone here; this is very focused and a more masculine, linear Richebourg. There is a sense aristocracy here with great sustain on the finish. Give it a decade before broaching, as I suspect it will end up in the top of my banded score. Drink 2023-204

Sarah Marsh, December 2015,
Score: 19.85This has light touch of exotic spice on the nose…hint of ginger…maybe from the oak..but appealing. Ah this is in a league of its own. A distillation of pure and vibrant fruit. Satin smooth tannins; such a silky texture. Wonderfully intense. Very refined. It has an airy, lifted and floating character. It flies across the finish and has a gossamer texture and great finesses. Drink from 2020/22

Producer
Domaine Anne Gros

Anne Gros's quiet spoken nature is most certainly reflected in her wines. A visit to this small domaine in Vosne Romanée is always a highlight. Her wines are not big and powerful but totally focused on grace and finesse. The precise and elegant fruit characters of this stunning vintage have fallen into the hands of Anne. Although volumes are tiny, this is a beautiful selection of wines with extraordinary balance and therefore natural longevity.
