Tasting Notes
-
Goedhuis, July 2015
Named after Cyril’s great grandmother in respect to her contribution to the domaine, this is a firmly structured Marsannay with grip, and masses of pure spiced berry fruit.
-
Burghound, January 2014,
Score: 87-89This is also distinctly earthy with sauvage and underbrush hints on the red and dark currant aromas. There is good ripeness and punch to the medium-bodied flavors that possess good volume on the dense, serious and balanced finish that displays just enough rusticity to be perceptible. Drink 2017+

Producer
Domaine Charles Audoin

Charles’s son Cyril has for years been instrumental in raising the quality and the reputation of the Marsannay appellation. With his new cellar now fully operational, he can realise the full potential of his excellent fruit grown in this underrated appellation. This domaine offers terrific consistency and excellent value for money in the northern Côte de Nuits.
Region
Marsannay
The most northerly appellation of the Cote d'Or, Marsannay is also the only appellation authorised to produce red, white and rose wine. Only created in 1987, this is an interesting area where quality is improving. Top producers include Bruno Clair, Meo-Camuzet and Denis Mortet.
