Goedhuis, December 2012
Stunningly open, spiced, wild berry aromas. In the mouth this has a rich succulence and flamboyance one expects from Bonnes Mares, with real breadth. A generous and multi layered wine with an everlasting finish. This is delicious.

Burghound, January 2013, Score: 92-95
(from a 1.5 ha parcel that is almost entirely in terres rouges). A beautifully complex and far ranging nose offers up notes of warm earth, spices and a lovely combination of red berry aromas. The attractively textured, concentrated and mouth coating big-bodied flavors brim with dry extract on the powerful, focused and explosively long finish. This beauty is packed with potential though note that it will require at least 12 to 15 years to realize all of it. (92-95)/2023+

Sturdy, I think this could be called. Grating texture. Solid and thick ankled. Very harsh acidity. Drink 2018-2028

This substantial Gevrey Chambertin domaine is under the guardianship of a collaborative family team: parents Christine and Philippe, and children Caroline and Nicolas. They have an embarrassment of riches within their armoury of four 1ers Crus and six exceptional Grands Crus, culminating with plots of both Clos de Bèze and Le Musigny. They also boast one of the finest two storey cellars in the Côte d’Or, built by members of the Prussian military on their way back from the Hundred Years War, with ideal conditions maintaining perfect temperatures for Philippe’s preferred two-year élevage in cask. The wines are ripe, concentrated, and often earthy and textured. They offer terrific value, particularly in Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru.Read less

Bonnes Mares
Perched between Morey-St-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny in the heart of the Cotes de Nuits this Grand Cru appellation can balance the best characteristics of both. Bonnes Mares wines combine fragrance and femininity with body and power. A seductive combination indeed.
