Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is familiar to Burgundy lovers the world over as one of the most sought-after domaines of Vosne-Romanée, and indeed, the whole of Burgundy. The history of Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is one that perfectly encapsulates the evolution of the region. Founded in 1858, the property spent most of the last century as Domaine Robert Arnoux, named for Pascal Lachaux’s father-in-law who sadly passed in 1995. Pascal then took over the reins and made substantial improvements, both in the vineyard and in cellar, sealing the transformation of the Domaine with the addition of his own name. Today, the Domaine is run by Pascal’s son Charles Lachaux, who, in the words of Burghounds Allen Meadows “is on his way to becoming a legitimate super-star as his innovative and obsessive vineyard work is second to none.” With Lalou Bize-Leroy of the famed Domaine Leroy as his mentor, it is no surprise that the Charles's painstaking approach is yielding such acclaim.
