  A highly spiced nose speaks of anise, clove and violet nuances on the pretty mix of blue and black pinot fruit and plum aromas. The rich, full-bodied, concentrated and powerful medium weight plus flavors possess a seductive and velvety mouth feel, all wrapped in a very firm and explosively long finish. This should be wonderful in due time though note well that this will require every bit of 15 years of cellar time. 2024+.

Domaine Dujac

Jacques Seysses bought a small domaine in Morey-Saint-Denis in 1967 called Domaine Graillet and renamed it after himself, Domaine Dujac. Jacques spent several years learning winemaking from the late, great Gerard Potel at Domaine de la Pousse d’Or and he has been a great proponent of including the stems in fermentation. Over the years, Jacques and his wife Rosalind expanded the domaine and today the family has 15.5 hectares including seven grands crus. Today, two of their children, Jeremy and Alec, as well as Jeremy’s wife Diana, have joined the Jacques and Rosalind in the family business which continues to be one of Burgundy’s leading domaines.
