Goedhuis, April 2001
One of the best Fourcas Dupres for years. Exceptional value, from the hugelyunderrated and beautifully situated Listrac appellation.

Jancis Robinson, November 2002
Extremely deep crimson. Rich, full and well-spread over the palate. Nicely balanced. Quite full with some dark chocolate aromas but not an exaggerated wine. Drink 2008-2018

Clive Coates, June 2001
Good colour. Quite a firm nose. Decent fruit but a little hard at the end. Medium body. Slightly rigid. It lacks a little freshness. Quite good. From 2005/2006.

Region
Listrac
Listrac is a lesser-well known appellation in the south of the Haut-Médoc in Bordeaux, which is frequently compared to its neighbour Moulis. Its soils are mainly clay-limestone and the Merlot grape is increasingly planted. The wines' chief characteristic is their reliable density.
