Dom Pérignon's fabled Plenitudes
Dom Pérignon is arguably the most celebrated and iconic champagne house in the world and at Goedhuis we are fortunate enough to enjoy a very close relationship with this illustrious house.
We are therefore extremely excited to offer two vintages of the rarest Champagnes to come out of Dom Pérignon’s chalk cellars: their fabled Plenitudes, P2 1998 and 2000.
What sets these champagnes apart from the original vintage releases is the extended cellar ageing. The house has essentially been holding back a limited amount of stock and ageing it. The great benefit of late release Champagne is that it’s beautiful to drink on delivery.
The Plenitude releases have a sense of magnified character, an added layer of complexity to the flavour. This is the magic of extended lees ageing and maturation in the cool chalk cellars. The “P2″, the second release, is released after 12-15 years.
These distinct expressions are a must for Dom Pérignon aficionados, fans of richer-style Champagnes and collectors. The Plenitude releases are incredibly rare and always get superlative reviews from the critics. We are delightged to offer these two great vintages which have benefited from this extra ageing.
