Goedhuis, December 2019
La Truffière is Bruno’s only vineyard in Puligny Montrachet. Golden yellow in colour, this is a very striking wine, with hints of acacia honey and caramelised pears. It balances a feeling of gentle viscosity with a light touch of freshness. Extremely rewarding.

Burghound, June 2020,
Score: 93This isn't quite as elegant but it's just as aromatically complex with its layered nose of white orchard fruit, nectarine, petrol and pretty floral wisps. There is outstanding size, weight and mid-palate concentration to the powerful and muscular imposingly scaled flavors that coat the palate on the driving finish that is shaped by a firm core of ripe acidity. This too needs to develop more overall complexity but that should happen if it's allowed to fully mature. Drink 2029+ Outstanding

Domaine Bruno Colin

Bruno’s estate is spread across an impressive 30+ different parcels in Chassagne Montrachet, Puligny Montrachet and St Aubin. From 2016 onwards, his portfolio includes Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Desmoiselles and Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru, passed down to him by his father, Michel, who has stepped into retirement (Michel Colin-Deleger’s estate was divided between his two sons, Bruno and Philippe). Bruno’s style blends Burgundy's tell-tale minerality with luxuriant fruit. The wines tend to display generous concentration with vibrant drive. Many have the potential to age beautifully but Bruno’s wines are also notable for their open approachability in youth. His wide range of Chassagne Montrachet premiers crus captures the diverse expression of the appellation.
Region
Puligny-Montrachet
Puligny Montrachet is known as the most delicate of the white wine appellations south of Beaune. Its wines tend to be linear and mineral offering delicate floral and orchard fruit aromatics. Its village and premier cru vineyard area total slightly over 200 hectares but almost half of them are premier cru making them one of the highest proportions of quality vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. Several grand cru vineyards are present, the most notable being Le Montrachet and Bâtard Montrachetwhich it shares with neighbouring Chassagne, but it does have the extraordinary Chevalier Montrachet and the tiny Bienvenues Bâtard Montrachet all to itself. There are a handful of red wines grown, but they tend to be quite light and need to be drunk in their youth.
