    A highly refreshing Vermentino from Tuscany’s breezy coastline. Poggio al Tesoro is the beautiful Bolgheri estate owned by the Allegrini family (responsible for making one of Italy’s most famous Valpolicellas). Solosole means ‘just sunshine’ in Italian, which encapsulates what this wine is all about. The 2022 is a refreshing citrus burst of freshly sliced lemon and orange with crisp white peach and apricot. The juicy, thirst-quenching palate is complemented by mineral, herbal and salty complexities. This particular clone of Vermentino is thought to originate from Corsica and imparts an almost Riesling-like quality with a few years bottle age, although we struggle to leave it in the wine rack that long! Fantastic everyday summer drinking and the perfect bottle to pair with fresh fish.

    Always one of the top value Italian buys of the vintage, Le Volte is a Tuscan superstar in its own right and offers a little bit of everything, the softness of Merlot, the structure and depth of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the beauty and exuberance of Tuscany’s Sangiovese. The 2021 offers mouth-watering red cherry, plum and blackberry over layers of lavender, Mediterranean herbs, cedar and fresh tobacco leaf. Bright and energetic on the palate, the tannins are soft and well-integrated, making this an immensely pleasurable wine. Instantly enjoyable, but backed up with a supple, nimble structure and crisp vibrant fruit that will allow it to age comfortably for up to five years.

  • EP: En Primeur. These wines are lying in the Domaines’ cellars until shipping. They can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.
