November 28th 2017

We are delighted once again to highlight these superb cheeses for the Christmas season. If you have attended any of our tastings you will be well aware of just how delicious the cheese from Philippe Olivier is. Every cheese is made by carefully selected farmers from around France, aged in Philippe Olivier’s cellars in Boulogne and then brought to London to fulfil orders when perfectly mature.

Congratulations to Catherine Petrie MW

September 5th 2017

We wanted to share our incredibly exciting news that Catherine has been awarded her Master of Wine. It is a notoriously challenging course, and she joins our Buying Director, David Roberts MW, as one of just 369 in the world. Catherine has not only completed all three stages successfully, but has done so in record time, vaulting every hurdle at the first attempt.

Ch Batailley 5ème Cru Pauillac 2016 | £414 per 12 IB Classically Pauillac, ‘This is a buy, for sure’

May 5th 2017

The 5th growth Pauillac, Chateau Batailley, has produced a superlative wine in 2016 to follow on from their blockbuster 2015. Following the announcement that Pauillac’s other outstanding estate in this price category and another favourite of ours, Ch Haut Batailley, will not be released en primeur following its purchase by the Cazes family (of Ch Lynch Bages), this is the appellation’s most significant release at this level.
