July 15th 2016

A Domaine with a rich and long history, Domaine Ponsot was established by William Ponsot in 1872. At this time his major vineyard holdings were in Morey St Denis, Clos des Monts Luisants and Clos de la Roche. Three generations later it is now run by the enigmatic and passionate Laurent Ponsot, who had much to do in helping the FBI finally catch and imprison the infamous wine fraudster Rudy Kurniawan.

Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne

March 29th 2016

Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne is a week long tasting held across the Burgundy region, taking place once every two years. Despite visiting Burgundy regularly, it was my first time at Les Grands Jours. I missed the first 4 days, held in the Côte de Nuits, Chalonnais, Chablis and Maconnais, but made it down in time for Friday’s tastings across the Côte de Beaune.
