April 13th 2018

Goedhuis team with Veronique Sanders and Gabriel Vialard of Ch.

Day four of our Bordeaux En Primeur 2017 trip sees us staying close to the city in the neighbouring appellation of Pessac-Léognan, starting with Château Haut Bailly. We are greeted at the estate by technical director, Gabriel Vialard, who walked the team through the vineyards and cellars en route to their tasting room which overlooks the vines.

Ch Cheval Blanc 2016 | £3,200 per 6 IB | “It is an absolutely stunning wine in every way” 96-99 points, Antonio Galloni

June 2nd 2017

This thoroughbred of St Emilion, Ch Cheval Blanc, was released this morning at £3,200 per 6 In Bond. Cheval Blanc has made two excellent wines this year, as 2016 saw the return of their second wine, Le Petit Cheval. The Grand Vin blew us away when we tasted it in the newly renovated tasting room. The Cabernet Franc component provides a wonderful line of distinction and the Merlot adds a delicious degree of sweetness and volume. The tightly knit tannins provide greater depth and persistence on the finish.
