Savoury, herbal flavours with almonds and hazelnuts on the finish. Good concentration, focus and length. Drink 2014 – 2022. 17 points.

Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Clos de l’Arlot Domaine de l’Arlot 2011

Very attractive nose of violets, nutmeg and cloves. A delicate Nuits-St-George. Flavours are incredibly pure with a long finish. Seamlessly integrated 40% new oak. Drink 2015 – 2023. 18 points.

Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes Alain Hudelot-Noëllat 2011

Elegant, floral, pretty Charmes that beautifully expresses the vintage and terroir. Silky tannins, good intensity and length. Drink 2015 – 2022. 17.5 points.

Volnay 1er Cru Les Frémiets Comte Armand 2011

Lifted florals plus cherry and strawberries on the palate. A serious Volnay 1er Cru with firm acidity and tannins built to age. Drink 2014 – 2020. 17 points.
