There is currently great excitement and dynamism in the Spanish wine industry with some incredibly committed wine-makers investing heavily in vineyard and winery to produce world-class wines most notably in Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Portugal is the home of the famous fortified wine, Port made in the Douro Valley and matured in the cool cellars of Oporto.
