- Goedhuis, November 2008

- Grenache struts its stuff yet again in Eric's 2007 Gigondas. Aromatics of crushed blackberry, damson plums, granite and bittersweet cocoa coat the palate in this delicious, enticing wine. Despite its richness, there is an energy to it which gives pronounced lift and length.
- Jancis Robinson, December 2008, Score: 17

- Very sleek and polished and aromatic for a Gigondas. Just a touch of animal. Very very spicy with masses of mass. Exceptional concentration though I could imagine having to wait quite a while for this wine to mature. Drink 2014-20
- Robert Parker, February 2009, Score: 90-93

- Made from 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah aged in concrete vats for 18 months, the opulent 2007 Gigondas possesses a sumptuous texture, exceptionally pure blackberry and kirsch fruit, a striking minerality, and notes of licorice as well as spring flowers. This is unquestionably a great effort with the potential to last a decade or more.
