Wines of Pouilly Fumé, Loire
Perched on the opposite bank of the Loire to Sancerre, the limestone and clay slopes of Pouilly Fume have been home to grape production since before the Roman era. Made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc, the wines are characterised by a note of gunflint and a certain creamy richness in addition to the classic zesty herbacious flavours of the grape variety.
