- Goedhuis, May 2009, Score: 91-94

- A powerful and impressive Figeac that is brooding and deep, offering notes of black cherry, cassis and dark chocolate. An ˜old style' Right Bank wine that is polished, sculpted and restrained which will impress any Figeac fan. Produced from 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Jancis Robinson, April 2009, Score: 16++

- Blueish purple. Vivid colour. Spicy, rather overripe notes. Sweet start and then a bit of green. Not really very comfortable. Awkward and rhubarby on the finish. A rather forced lightweight? Very embryonic indeed at this stage - but then Figeac may keep on surprising us over the long term?
