  • Burghound, January 2015, Score: 89-91

A background touch of wood frames an expressive and spice-scented nose of extract of red currant and violet aromas. There is good richness and volume to the very round medium-bodied flavors that possess good but not special depth and length for a grand cru. This should be approachable young if desired. Drink 2020+

  • Stephen Tanzer, November 2015, Score: 91

Good medium red. Tighter on the nose than the Vosne villages, offering scents of cherry, fresh herbs and spicy oak. Similarly redder in its fruit character than the village wine and not quite as high-pitched or sweet in the early going. Finishes juicy and firmly tannic, with sexy saline soil tones. This wine will need time in bottle to absorb its 70% new oak. Drink 2021-2028

  • Jancis Robinson, November 2014, Score: 17.5

Dark crimson. Juicy and dense with real vivacity and rigour. Black cherries and masses of fruit. Just falls away slightly suddenly. Ambitious and admirable. Drink 2022-2032
