An enveloping nose of dark berry fruit liqueur, spice and soft earth aromas complements the equally earthy, pure and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that possess a lovely minerality and mouth feel on the firmly but not aggressively structured, persistent and well-balanced finish. Worth a look. Drink 2019+

Marsannay
The most northerly appellation of the Cote d'Or, Marsannay is also the only appellation authorised to produce red, white and rose wine. Only created in 1987, this is an interesting area where quality is improving. Top producers include Bruno Clair, Meo-Camuzet and Denis Mortet.
