Is it worth it in terms of wine flavours? Yes. This 2011 highlights the sensational characters it achieves. Succulent, elegant, poised, refined and yet intense, all appeared in my tasting notes – a truly great wine.

Le Musigny

Le Musigny is a red Grand Cru vineyard based in Burgundy’s Chambolle Musigny village in the Côte de Nuits. Le Musigny is situated between the scrubland at the top of the slope and the upper section of Clos de Vougeot on well-draining limestone soil. The wines of Le Musigny are some of the best in Burgundy on a par with those of Romanée Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Chambertin and Chambertin Clos de Bèze.
