  • Robert Parker, August 2005, Score: 96

Produced from a parcel located in the upper, rockier section of its grand cru, the dark-colored 2003 Richebourg explodes from the glass with myriad spices and black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, muscular (yet refined), and boasting a luxurious velvety texture, it exhibits red cherries, candied blackberries, and cassis as well as untold quantities of spices. Its palate-staining, mouth-coating personality is packed with both fleshy fruit as well as structure-giving tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2022+. Drink: 2009-2022+

  • Jancis Robinson, January 2005, Score: 17

Domaine Anne-Françoise Gros, Richebourg Grand Cru 2003 CS 17 Drink 2008-15Scented, but with a weary sigh rather than a breath of fresh air. Lively acidity and definite fruit weight. Much more successful than the Echézeaux. Dense but not fine.HHC £590.00 ib (6 bottles)
