Burghound, January 2003
2001 Clos de Vougeot: (from a parcel of 55 year old vines located by the Vosne wall in the middle of the slope). Bigger and more intense than the Amoureuses but a good deal less expressive. Reserved, indeed even a bit austere with only hints of earth, spice and black pinot fruit showing followed by powerful, intense flavors and a very structured though not hard finish. This is robust to the point of rusticity but there is so much mid-palate sap that this should round out into something quite interesting with 7 to 10 years of bottle age. (90-92)/2010-18

Domaine Amiot Servelle
Domaine Amiot Servelle is located in the picturesque village of Chambolle Musigny, the Burgundy appellation renowned for producing the most feminine and silky wines. Today, it is run by Christian and Elizabeth Amiot. In order for the vines to fully express Chambolle's exceptional terroir, they carry out biodynamic viticulture which also adds precision and depth.Region
