Fine Wine Course New Year 2010

£260.00 for five sessions, or £60 per single session

Our Sales Director, Julian Chamberlen, runs wine courses aimed at demystifying the world of wine in a relaxed environment. This five night course is the ideal introduction to a potentially bewildering area – it promises small groups, a relaxed environment and lots of delicious wine.

The next course starts  on Monday 8th February, runs for five Monday nights over five consecutive weeks and covers the following areas:

INTRODUCTION and THE BIG FOUR
GRAPE VARIETIES AND WINEMAKING
CHAMPAGNE, SPARKLING WINE, PUDDING WINE
BURGUNDY
BORDEAUX

The course is held at the Goedhuis & Company offices in Vauxhall, Central London. The cost for the complete course is £260. If you wish to take individual sessions they are charged at £60 per session.

Featured in the September 2006 edition of Financial Times' How to Spend It magazine, APA Journalist of the Year Claire Wrathall writes:
"Julian Chamberlen, a director of Goedhuis & Company who has worked for Veuve Clicquot and Louis Latour... has run tasting sessions for, among others, the Wellcome Foundation, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Barclays Bank. It also offers courses of five Monday evening sessions with up to 12 students as well as bespoke sessions for private groups."

There are no examinations for which to revise, no tricky questions to answer and no experience required.  We taste between 8 and 10 wines each evening giving you plenty of really world class wine to drink, including some Grand Cru Burgundy, great Cru Classe Claret and some rare treats from around the world. Sessions start at 6.45pm and last no more than two hours, so a dinner engagement is easy to get to if required.
